We arrived at the castle at 6pm approximately, where we set up our equipment etc, and got everything ready for the night’s investigation.
First Vigil Our first experiment was with Chris our Medium; here we conducted an experiment through séance, which was very successful. We came to the conclusion that many of our guests we indeed very receptive and came out with details that even shocked them.
Second Vigil Second floor in the 1st room, a number of us heard voices and footsteps in this room, a few others experienced shadow these were very prominent and were not shadows cast by us.
Third Vigil Later that night we conducted an "Automatic Writing" experiment, which turned out to be an excellent form of communication, we contacted a gentleman named Thomas, and a lady named Elizabeth. Much was caught on camera in this room even a picture of a Gentleman standing in the doorway with a dog. We then did some Table Tipping which was very successful. Many other rooms on this level were investigated and some interesting things came to light, we saw a large flash of light from a small adjacent room as though someone had taken a photograph, yet we knew there was no-one in there. Many noises such as footsteps, whistling and whispering were also heard.
Fourth Vigil In the early hours we did many experiments in these two large rooms and came up with some astonishing results, the name Isabel came to us many times and in answer to questions we heard noises in the rooms. Many peoples had the feeling of being watched through out the night and some good pictures were taken.
Fifth Vigil I was very impressed with this experiment, many names were written down and some of them were recognisable to the people doing the experiment. The drawings were amazing from pictures of monks to one amazing picture of a lady with a large straw hat with a large feather flowing from the hat down to the ladies shoulder (well done Nat).
Conclusion We finished the night of at around 5am when we all sat for a while going over the events of the evening, we all came to the conclusion that this investigation far out weighed any of our expectations. The activity was rife and all of the experiments very successful.
